BRIEFING
The building is to serve as the headquarters of a vast comodity goods distribution company to be located on the outskirts of Lubango.
The program required built areas for representative spaces, offices as well as the company’s CEO’s main office and requested for the building to have a strong recognizable corporate image.

CONCEPT
The anonymity of the existing warehouse buildings that inhabit the site,  literally "parked" on the still green rural landscape along a functional grid of roads will be redefined by the presence of a building with strong sculptural presence that will act as a visible "centre-point" both symbolical and effectively.

The building will be formed by “staked” box like volumes that, on each floor, form an Y shaped open plan interrupted solely by the central service and circulation column. Each level will have a slightly different orientation and will be formed by cantilevered volumes that enclose work spaces that capture views of different parts of the distribution centre.

On the ground floor, three separate volumes house the reception, a conference room and an exhibition room connected by a central covered nbut open hall.
The building will be surrounded by a green area solely interrupted by pedestrian paths.
Cars will access the building by means of an underground tunnel.
